GT vs MI Qualifier 2, IPL 2023: Shubman Gill’s century, Mohit Sharma’s fifer power Gujarat to second straight final

GT vs MI, IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 Highlights: Shubman Gill’s third century of the season helped Gujarat Titans score a mammoth 233/3 in 20 overs. Gill smashed 129 off 60 balls and a good finishing act from Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan did the work for GT. Despite the steep target, MI were kept on target for the first 10 overs thanks to some big hitting from Tilak Varma, Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav. SKY kept MI in the hunt after the 10th over as well but the five-time champions unraveled after he fell in the 15th over. Mumbai folded for a score of 171 and the Titans thus became the third team after their opponents for the day and their opponents in the final to reach the title clash in consecutive seasons. Gill earlier brought up his his fifth half century of the season in 32 balls. After that, he went berserk, smashing the MI bowlers all around the park almost nonchalantly throughout the middle overs. He raced past his third century of the season in 49 balls after which he ended up accelerating even further. He ended up being dismissed for 129 off 60 balls, his innings punctuated by seven fours and a whopping 10 sixes.
