In their previous encounter, they secured a win against the GT. Suryakumar Yadav’s exceptional performance resulted in his maiden century in the IPL, enabling MI to set an imposing total of 218 runs for the loss of five wickets. Suryakumar remained unbeaten on an impressive 103 runs off just 49 deliveries. GT faced early setbacks, putting them on the back foot, but David Miller’s contribution of 41 runs off 26 deliveries kept them in the game. Unfortunately, GT’s chances dwindled once Miller departed. Rashid Khan emerged as the sole warrior, smashing an impressive 79 runs off 32 deliveries, including three fours and ten sixes. Nevertheless, GT fell short of the target by 27 runs, managing to score 191 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
