Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2024 Highlights: Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja completed the clinical chase for Chennai Super Kings to help them win their opening match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Cameron Green with a couple of wickets in the middle overs put the hosts in a bit of a pickle but temperament from DUbe and Jadeja saw CSK home.
Earlier, cameos from Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat took Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 173/6 in the IPL 2024 opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday. Mustafizur Rahman was the pick of the bowlers for the Chennai Super Kings, taking four wickets. Earlier Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bat first.
The spotlight in the game was on MS Dhoni, who relinquished the CSK captaincy on match eve, handing over the reins of the defending champions to Ruturaj Gaikwad. There was also added focus on Virat Kohli, who is making a bid to play for India at the T20 World Cup. Kohli could only manage a 20-ball 21.
