Day 2 of the 4th Test between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground ended with India in a precarious position, still trailing by 310 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the standout performer for India, scoring a composed 82 before a mix-up with Virat Kohli led to a run-out. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne, along with Sam Konstas, contributed valuable half-centuries, helping Australia dominate. Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of India’s bowlers, claiming four wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja contributed with three wickets.
As the teams head into Day 3, India faces a tough challenge, with Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja remaining unbeaten at the end of Day 2. The visitors will need a resilient effort to avoid a follow-on and fight back in the match.
