Third India-Australia Test moved to Indore

Indore will host the third Border-Gavaskar Test, the BCCI confirmed on Monday, February 13.

As reported previously, the Test had to be moved out of Dharamsala with the venue deemed not ready after inspection by the BCCI.

“Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,” said the BCCI in its statement as the reason for the change of venue.

The schedule for the series remains the same with Indore hosting the Test from March 1 to 5. The ground has already hosted two Tests with India taking on New Zealand in 2016 and Bangladesh in 2019. More recently, the venue played host to an ODI between India and New Zealand.

India lead the series 1-0 currently after winning the opening Test in Nagpur. The second Test is scheduled in New Delhi starting from February 17.
