Pakistan vs Bangladesh World Cup 2023 highlights: Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique’s opening stand helped Pakistan register their third victory at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday. 128-run opening stand between the duo meant that Bangladesh bowlers could no point in their defence could induce any sort of pressure. Mehidy’s three wickets were the only three wickets Bangladesh could pick. With the win Pakistan keep the chances to finish top four alive and for Bangladesh, it is almost curtains.
Earlier Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr’s spells have helped Pakistan to restrict Bangladesh for 204. Litton Das and skipper Shakib Al Hassan have chipped in with a couple of cameos but could not help in taking Bangladesh to a respectable total.
