New Zealand (NZ) will be up against Bangladesh (BAN) in the 11th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 13. New Zealand have played two games in the tournament where they have won both and are sitting at the top of the table, while Bangladesh, having played two games, have won and lost a match each and is placed sixth in the points table.
New Zealand squared off against the Netherlands in their last match, where the Netherlands won the toss and elected to field. New Zealand started brilliantly, with their opening stand lasting for 67 runs and then the second wicket partnership adding on another 77 runs. Contributions from the entire batting order meant they posted a total of 322 runs, which proved to be a little too for the Dutch side. They started slow, and only Colin Ackerman could make a significant score. They were bundled out for just 223, hence losing the match by 99 runs.
Bangladesh played against England in their last match, where Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field. As expected, England was off to a rollicking start as they dismantled the Bangladeshi bowling line-up. With half-centuries from Bairstow and Root while a sensational century from Dawid Malan, England made a huge total of 364 runs. In reply, Bangladesh could never get the start they were looking for as they kept losing wickets one after the other. Eventually, they lost the match by a good margin of 137 runs.
